Just some highlights from last season’s statistics.
In the hope that this might be helpful to some, at least to get you started, here are the top 20’s for each attribute in each position from last season. I’ve ordered them so that the highest-scoring attributes are first (goals scored, obviously) and work down through the half-pointers (Ints, KP’s, Tackles) and into the negatives, with red cards at the end. Where players have recorded the same number, the players with the most minutes are higher. Other players who have made the same stats in less minutes might not appear.
This isn’t designed to be anything deeply insightful; I have not the knowledge nor the acumen to offer elite, expert recommendations. I can only offer you a retrospective of last season’s numbers, as re-arranged from the Fantrax database. Please note that this will not include the new teams – Coventry, Hull & Ipswich – or any of the new transfers (I’ve left you some research to do yourselves!), and as I only downloaded the statistics last night, players are listed for their current clubs but the numbers may represent their performance for other teams (see: Martin Dubravka – 71 GA for Burnley, now at Spurs).
