😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Wives Fave lose to second-placed DBT, top two are now neck-and-neck on League Points. Wives Fave, of course, have still got a healthy matchpoints advantage.
• Smash & Grab receive a critical blow from Neverleusen, leaving them with an almighty task if they want to avoid returning to the second tier.
• Hung hold on to 3rd, relegate Spray in the process.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
Gloopy Yarbles 4-0 vs. Atletico Topo Chico; 6-0 all-time (inc. 2x CL group games in Season 9)

The Run-in

The final three weeks of the Premier League will be hot stuff with battles for 1st, 3rd and 7th all being contested. The fight for survival may be settled next weekend if Neverleusen beat tenth-placed ATC, or Smash lose to top side Housewives Fave. While it seems likely on paper, note that last time these fixtures played out in GW27, Neverleusen lost by one point and Smash only lost by 1½ points.
Of course, all eyes will be on Housewives Fave to see if they can hold off DBT in the closing stages of the season. All six remaining games are against bottom-half sides so this may play out as a simple shoot-out to see who can score the most fantasy points from three gameweeks (including the Double GW starting on Saturday). DBT have won all eleven league games against their final three opponents (3-0 vs. Spray, 4-0 vs. Smash, 4-0 vs. Beyer) and sets up nicely for an end-of season triple-whitewash curtain call.
The fight for the third money place could be decided (albeit not confirmed) next weekend when Hung and MF play each other one more time. A win for MF would allow them to level things on League points and give them the momentum with a game against ATC to follow. However, a win for Hung would put them practically out of reach with two games remaining.
🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Hung Like A Bony -v- Mighty Fine, 3rd v 4th
In GW27: Hung 56½ – 56½ Mighty (!)
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Before GW36:
De Bruyne Trousers (2nd) 3-0 vs. Vanishing Spray (9th); DBT have won all FIVE of their games against Vanishing Spray so far: 3x PL this season + 2x CL games last season.

Championship
😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Barons yank the lead back in a 1½pt win over Prelim. Mukiele (-4 & -5 FPts in the last two gameweeks) stole the show with a goal against Wolves and a 12½ score for Barons. Unfortunately Khushanov’s -1½ for PV prevented Harry Wilson coming on with a potential winning +1½ Fpts.
• All three Championship promotions have been awarded, but it still promises to be a fun run-in.
• ATT take their first heroic step towards survival; can they go three more?
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
The Phenoms 4-0 vs. Uncle Monty; Monty (aka Waikauri) are 3-1 vs Phenoms (aka TrevAI) in Dynasty.

The Run-in

So the top three are in a little league of their own. Four points separate 1st and 3rd, but that could be reduced to 1 point if The Phenoms can repeat their GW9 win over Barons next weekend. Slots Fired will then face Barons and Prelim in the final two weeks (W1L3 vs Barons, W3L1 vs Prelim) in potential title deciders. Prelim and Phenoms have whitewashes near completion in the last two. GW37 – Prelim are 4-0 vs Gnonto Seed (10th) and GW38 – Phenoms are 4-0 vs ATT. Barons are 3-1 vs both of their final two.
At the other end of the table, ATT will be relegated if either Peltier or Uncle Monty get a point next week (or any week), but they might get a second reprieve / continuation-of-hope as 7th & 8th play 2nd & 4th respectively next. GW37 will be interesting for Monty when play ATT, having lost to ATT thrice this season and needing to outdo Peltier at least once in the final weeks. Peltier will wrap up the season with an easier game against relegated Gnonto Seed, while Uncle Monty return to face ASG. As there are no Champions League playoffs this season, ASG may have given up by then (although of course we hope they are still active for the final game), and we presume that ATT will also have nothing to play for by time they face The Phenoms on the final matchday.
🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Barons -v- The Phenoms, 1st v 3rd
In GW27: Barons 66 – 60 Phenoms

😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Whiskey De Bruyne hit a wall and are forced to watch BtB take a commanding lead at the top, sets up a do-or-die 1v2 showdown next weekend.
• GoFYS complete whitewash over Toastenham – puts pressure on Stafford Stallions and Toastenham simultaneously.
• AFC Chester complete a whitewash over ELU by a half-point!
• Three teams are facing the prospect of finishing 8th and, with no pro/rel playoff this season, that’s an automatic demotion. (Also, AFC Chester are not mathematically safe yet. That ½pt win could be a saviour).
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
AFC Chester 4-0 vs. East Loop United; AFC up 15-11 all-time
Bigger than Brolin 4-0 vs. Jaysokker; first time same league
GoFYS FC 4-0 vs. Toastenham Hankdog; first time same league

The Run-in

Title race aside, there are two very interesting end-of-season run-ins. Gameweek 37 will give us 3rd v 4th and 6th v 7th. And looking at that battle for Third, we can see that (whilst contesting their own campaign to remain north of the dotted line) Shams Army will be playing both Stallions and GoFYS in the final three gameweeks. The first of those remaining matchup pits the Army against a Atallions side that have won all three of their encounters so far this season.
At the lower end, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth all have tough fixtures ahead, and all face opponents from the promotion race. Shams Army will be trying to remain above Toastenham and Thrillhaus, but are only holding a 6½ and a 15½ F-points advantage over their rivals. The GW36 double gameweek will prove decisive if any of these three (or AFC Chester) finish level on league points; one of these four will soon be joining Jaysokker and ELU in the elevator down to League Two.
And as for that title race… Whiskey De Bruyne have been dominating all season, but a few slip ups, Bigger’s recent run of form (5W) and their inability to beat BtB this season has left them losing their grip on the title (what a game-changer that Saka assist was in the last North london derby! Without it, they’d both be on 75 points and the race would run until the final day). But as it is, if Whiskey lose this weekend they will almost certainly be unable to reclaim the top spot.
🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Bigger than Brolin -v- Whiskey De Bruyne, 1st v 2nd
In GW27: BtB 52½ – 51½ WdB
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Before GW36:
Bigger than Brolin 3-0 vs. Whiskey De Bruyne; BtB have W6D1L2 vs Whiskey all-time, W6L1 in League competition
Stafford Stallions 3-0 vs. Shams Army; first season in same league
Toastenham Hankdog 3-0 vs. AFC Chester; first season in same league
Form:

League Two
😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• With a BVAR win and losses for Daddy & Wolves, the race for third is heating up again.
• Bigo1 record a massive 82 and earn their first Association-wide TotW award, but Beedle’s Boys’ 8th consecutive win maintains a nine-point lead with a 300-FPt cushion. Some might call it an unassailable lead, others say “anything’s possible”.
• AI-Jiggery-Pokery make a strong push at the end of the season, currently 4W after hindering FPL Daddy’s promotion attempts.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
No whitewashes in this set of fixtures

The Run-in

With promotion guaranteed for new boys Beedle’s Boys and all but certain for the returnees Bigo1, the focus in League Two is all on Third Place. FPL Daddy go into the double gameweek, not entirely comfortable on matchpoints differential, up against the #1 side Beedle’s Boys – who are hunting for a rookie-season Grand Slam this weekend. Daddy was the last team to beat the Boys, back in GW27, and to be fair have won 8 of the last 10 themselves. Following this hurdle, they’ve got the easiest final two games in the promotion race – vs Goleta (8th) and Teeth (9th).
Wrockwardine begin the final three ready to complete a whitewash against bottom side Scott FC. That will be followed by a rematch against GW1 opponents Team Zizou (W3,L1), and then what may be a final day six-pointer against BattleVAR Galactico. BVAR get TeeZee next, and then they have a huge fight against Bigo1 (who, at this point, they could chase down for Second), and if they win both they could be preparing for a fiery end to the season.
🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Beedle’s Boys -v- FPL Daddy, 1st v 3rd
In GW27: Boys 47½ – 67½ Daddy
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Before GW36:
