😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Unbelievable Jeff! DBT have once again levelled things with Housewives Favourite, with the top score of the week, against the top losing score of the week, and completed an unlikely whitewash against the 2021 Premier League Champions.
• Mighty Fine Feeling are back into the Top Three, for just the third gameweek this season, after 14 weeks lingering in Fourth.
• Gloopy made a great bid for the prizes by beating the team in Third, and near-matching their matchpoints total, but have seen the door closed by that Mighty Fine clean sweep.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:

Mighty Fine 5-0 vs. Atletico Topo Chico

🏁 The Finish Line 🏁
Unlike the EPL, the BFFA Premier League title WILL go to the final gameweek. Housewives Favourite face 10th-placed ATC while DBT play drop-dodgers Beyer Neverleusen. Expect a lot of player-rotation and non-appearances as the EPL teams experiment and mix it up in the final gameweek.
The other prize place is still undecided too. Mighty Fine have the advantage thanks to their mini 3-game win streak, but if that is ended by the outgoing Premier League Champions Gloopy Yarbles, then Hung Like a Bony could re-take the place with a final day win over El Dude Bros.
While the relegation places are set, the bottom half teams are still playing for pride. 4th/5th, 6th/7th and 8th/9th could also switch places at the final final whistle. Smash & Grab and Vanishing Spray face each other one more time for the right to call themselves the best of the worst.

😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• The Phenoms are back in Second with a controversial goal from Mbuemo and a consolation goal from Richarlison.
• Prelim fail to score fifty for the first time in fourteen weeks, get taken down by Seed for the first time this season.
• Sporting Wicker’s second Championship TotW score and Uncle Monty’s three-point win causes Peltier a final game headache.

🏁 The Finish Line 🏁
There are two major things to be decided here in the Championship this week – the Runners-Up place and the final relegation. Looking up at the stars, The Phenoms (who have just recovered the coveted spot) are playing for an incredible third whitewash of the season as they face Alleviate the Tedium. The completion of that clean sweep would guarantee them the Second place and the glory that comes with it. However, if they draw or lose, they will be vulnerable dropping back down to Third place before the leagues are reshuffled.
The team hoping for a Phenom slip-up is of course Preliminary Version who were in the top two for the last four weeks (briefly #1) and are still the top pointscorers in the division. Not only are they praying that relegated ATT will end their blighted season with fireworks, they also face a very tough challenge themselves – Slots Fired have won 3 of the 4 encounters against PVFC this season, including the humbling 77-74 barnburner nine weeks ago.
At the other end, Uncle Monty and Peltier are in a tussle to beat the clock and avoid the drop; Monty face 6th-placed ASG and Peltier have bottom side Gnonto Seed. A week ago we all might have thought that Seed had given up, but they ended a big winless streak last weekend with a nine-point win over the team in Second, so there could be some fight in them yet, but with a better fantasy points tally all Peltier have to do is match or better Uncle Monty’s result on Sunday. Monty have had some good luck recently – a three-point win over ATT and a ½-pt win over ASG last time they met, and that was despite having no goalkeeper and scoring fewer goals. WIll the luck of the Monty continue for ine more day?
Gameweek 38:
All Star Gunners (6th) -v- Uncle Monty (8)
Alleviate the Tedium (9) -v- The Phenoms (2)
Gnonto Seed (10) -v- Peltier (7)
Slots Fired (5) -v- Preliminary Version (3)

😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• GoFYS force Stallions to earn their place next week, defeating the team who were four points above them in Third.
• Shams Army needed to beat Toastenham by 18 points to climb out of the relegation zone, they did it by 21.
• There is a three-way stand-off for 6th/7th/8th(R). All level on 48 eague points and only 7 matchpoints separates them tonight.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
Bigger than Brolin 5-0 vs. AFC Chester

🏁 The Finish Line 🏁
With the top two sewn up, we can focus more on the battle for Third, which is intricately tied up with the battle for League One survival. The three teams that are being threatened with 8th place – Sporting Thrillhaus, Shams Army and Toastenham Hankdog – are not so much playing against the teams 3rd/4th/5th, but they are effectively playing each other. Because their matchpoints totals are so incredibly close, Toastenham could still lose and escape relegation, IF they score well enough. Similarly, any one of these three could win and also be relegated, if they don’t score well enough.
First things first, it would be unlikely that all three lose, or all three win. If that does happen, it will simply be a question of how many fantasy points they can accumulate, and then hope that scores elsewhere are beneficial to them. If two teams win and the other loses, then that will decide their fate without the need for a tiebreaker. Finally, if one team wins (they will be safe) then the scores of the two losers will be inspected to decide which of them can claim Seventh. Not as complicated as it sounds, and it will be mouth-wateringly close on Sunday afternoon.
And trying to jeopardise those their hopes of returning to the Third Tier next season are two promotion-hopefuls and a bruised AFC Chester. Whilst Chester have nothing to play for in the last match, they would like to finish on a high and maybe climb a couple of places in the Best-ish ranks, if just for the sakes of the history books. Had Kroupi not come on in the last minute against Brentford in GW29, or if Alisson had made one more save, then they would not have beaten Thrillhaus by a single point and would also be involved in this relegation battle.
But two bigger threats will arguably come from the two remaining teams hoping to be promoted this week – Stallions and GoFYS. Stallions have a Win-and-In opportunity this weekend when they play Toastenham, and the silver lining for the Hankdogs is that they could lose and survive the trapdoor. In the other game, GoFYS have a Do-or-Die fixture against Shams Army whereby if they don’t win, their prootion dreams will die. They must win and hope that Stafford lose or draw. In the unlikely scenario that Stafford lose and GoFYS draw, GoFYS will go up on FPts decider. Once again, even if GoFYS win/Army lose, GoFYS are not guaranteed third place and Army are not guaranteed seventh. All will be settled on Sunday as ALL the EPL games play out concurrently.

😲Eye-Catching Stuff:
• FPL Daddy win a cakewalk and move up to Second. They didn’t need Morgan Gibbs-White (11 FPts) from the bench to give them the advantage in the race for the runners-up place.
• Bigo1, who scored just 1pt less than FPL Daddy, lose an important game against BattleVAR, and it remains to be seen how impactful that loss was in their bid for the silver medal.
• The teams 4th, 5th and 6th also finishing strong – WWW (L2 TotW & 2nd whitewash completed), BVAR winning their fourth game against 2nd-placed Bigo (W4L1) and AIJP up to six straight wins (previous best this season was 3 unbeaten, a WDW in GW’s 6, 7 & 8).
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 Completed:
AI-Jiggery-Pokery 5-0 vs. Borussia Teeth

🏁 The Finish Line 🏁

Of course, there’s no relegation from League Two (until we reintroduce the fifth tier) and the Champions League Qualifiers have been abolished (wish is a huge shame, and Wrockwardine versus BattleVAR would’ve been a belter of a season-ender). The top three have been confirmed, the Champions crowned, so the only thing left to settle is Second and Third.
Returning legends Bigo1 are chasing the runners-up place with a significant matchpoints disadvantage, so if both promoted sides get the same result, rookies FPL Daddy will retain the position. The Daddies just need to beat Borussia Teeth one more time and the Second Place is theirs. Teeth have lost all of their last six games, while FPL Daddy have won five of those same six gameweeks. The only time that Teeth have beaten Daddy (once out of four games) was in GW11 when Teeth (in 10th place) outclassed Daddy (then 7th) 65½-63 thanks to four goals from Saka, Mbuemo, Neto and Schade. ALl four players remain in the Borussia squad, warming up for the weekend’s Finale.
If FPL Daddy lose or draw, they’d still take silver if Bigo1 lose. However, this looks unlikely judging by the fact that Zizou have never beaten the team that were, until last week, the best Best-ish team in BFFA history. It’s up to the neutral spectator to decide if Team Zizou have been unlucky this season. A comparison of Bigo -v- Zizou in the last two gameweeks suggests that Zizou could have finished better and, moreover, should not be underestimated. Team Z outscored Bigo 74-v-46 and 54½-v-39½ in GW’s 36 & 37, and are entirely capable of doing it again. There will probably be a lot line-up changes in the next few days, and we’re excited to see how all of these deciders shake out.
