Clinched… 1 Game to Go

That’s right – just one to go, one all-important nail-biting weekend experience from which we need to pry out three champions, one more team for promotion to League One and a whole heap of other successes.

League Champions!

We still only have the one League Champion – Goleta Hotspur will be playing in League One next season, but we don’t know who will be going up with them…

Promotions!

As well as Hung Like a Bony and Goleta Hotspur who clinched their promotions last week, Vanishing Spray of the Championship earned an immediate promotion straight back to the Premier League, plus they’ve got themselves into a shootout for the title.
And in League One, the three candidates were whittled down to just the two. Time ran out on Whiskey de Bruyne, which means that De Bruyne Trousers and Uncle Monty will be playing Championship fantasy football next season.

Champions League Places!

We have just one more confirmed for the Champions League draw in August – the recrowned BFFA Cup Champions StillluvQPR! Now up nine confirmed, seven to come.
From the Premier League: Housewives Favourite, Sporting Wicker Park (Holders)
From the Championship: Hung Like a Bony, Vanishing Spray FC
From League One: De Bruyne Trousers, Uncle Monty, Whiskey De Bruyne, StillluvQPR (Cup Winners)
From League Two: Goleta Hotspur

The Champions League Qualification matches are still far from decided, but we know that one of the four teams will be CG XI

Intramural League Qualifiers

Gameweeks 37 and 38 will also present as the pre-season qualification stage for next season’s IML.

One team from each league will be going forward to the IML Quarter-Finals. There they will each face a team dropping out of the CL at the group stage (à la the UEFA CL). To decide which team will be going there as a league representative, the teams finishing 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th get to play a mini-knockout tourney.

There are only two more spots remaining in the (lesser-desirable) Intramural League Qualifiers.
One for the team finishing 5th in the Premier League, and the other for the team finishing 8th in League Two.

Most of the IMLQ semi-final fixtures will be decided next week.
The team finishing 5th in the Premier League will get a bye to their IMLQ final, and so will the team finishing 5th in League One (unless it’s StillluvQPR).
Farkelife will play MFF in GW37. The rest will be announced soon.
From the Premier League: Farkelife, Mighty fine feeling.
From the Championship: Fergi Time, GoFys FC, Webuiltthis City, Atletico Topo Chico.
From League One: Peltier, Chicken and Bane San, East Loop United.
From League Two: Jaysokker, Ole’s at the Wheel, Harambe Hotspur.

Relegation

We now know which six teams will be stepping down a tier for the next campaign, see the tables on the right-hand side. They will see out the postseason playing in the Wooden Spoon pool and, obviously, we hope they’ll be back next season to make a bid at bouncing straight back up again.

There will also be three teams fighting for survival in the play-offs. One of those teams stuck in eighth is Atletico Topo Chico, and they will be playing Whiskey De Bruyne in weeks 37 & 38.

And in Premier League News:

⬆️ The first team to assure promotion to the Premier League was Leicester City
❓ The second team will be announced this Saturday. It will be either Ipswich Town or Leeds United. Both are at home; Leeds have a difficult game against Southampton and need the win. Ipswich just need a point against relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town.
