It’s been another busy month, but we’re nearly through the congestion… for now…

Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• DBT go third and reach a second Champions League Final
• Van Spray close gap to seventh with a massive 50-pt win.
• Title race heats up with Wives Fave win and shocking Hung loss.
⚽ Featured Game – Result: Hung Like a Bony 18.5 – 47.5 Smash & Grab, 1st v 9th
We said a win would mean a lot to either team, and Smash were the grateful recipients of these three points. With a fourth straight win, they are a lot closer to escaping the relegation zone.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ After GW23:
No whitewashes in this set of fixtures

🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Mighty Fine-v- Smash & Grab, 4th v 9th
GW15: MFF 63 – 60.5 Smash
Smash on a roll, still high-scoring and are one win away from filling that form grid with a fifth W. MFF: reeling from a heavy defeat and loss of third place. Very close in GW15, could be close again.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ Before GW24:
Hung Like a Bony 2-0 vs. Atletico Topo Chico; Hung have won the last 5 vs. ATC, inc. a Cup QF.
Mighty Fine 2-0 vs. Smash & Grab; Mighty have won the last 7 vs. S&G, inc. a Cup R2 fixture. This will be meeting #30, MF leading W17-D0-L12.
Form:

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Two teams move up two, two teams move down two. Just two points separate 3rd and 6th.
• Game of the week was probably Prelim vs SWP. Park very high-scoring, but couldn’t stop Prelim Version from getting their third win against them.
• A rare win for Gnonto Seed, and a second in the month of January, re-ignites hope of staying in the second tier and hinders Uncle Monty’s chances of rising up.
• The Phenoms are building up a win streak, now at four in the league and six in all competitions. That current streak that has also got them into the Champions League Final.
⚽ Featured Game – Result: Alleviate the Tedium 21.5 – 52 Barons, 9th v 2nd
We thought this would be a high-scoring affair, with ATT scoring high and Barons in a CL SF, but in the team in second place won comfortably and increase their gap over third.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ After GW23:
Preliminary Version 3-0 vs. Sporting Wicker Park; SWP last won this fixture in the S10 BFFA Cup QF

🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
The Phenoms -v- Sporting Wicker Park, 1st v 6th
GW15: Phenoms 66 – 66 SWP
The last time the BFFA had a draw, SWP were eighth and needy. They followed that disappointment with five wins in a row and then climbed upto fourth. If SWP win here, they could move back upto third, and could cost The Phenoms the lead.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ Before GW24:
Barons 2-0 vs. Gnonto Seed; Barons are W13-D1-L12 overall vs Seed, won last 5!
Peltier 2-0 vs. Alleviate the Tedium; W3-D1-L3 all-time record,
Preliminary Version 2-0 vs. All Star Gunners; Prelim have won the last 5, 6/7 overall.
Form:

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• ELU win by a half-point, climb above Sporting Thrillhaus. ELU have won three of the last four, and could really improve their season if they can cripple Shams Army next week.
• BtB also record a narrow win, keep pace with WdB
• Whiskey De Bruyne move another win and another week closer to the title with the league’s best score of the week.
⚽ Featured Game – Result: Whiskey De Bruyne 54.5 – 34.5 GoFys, 1st v 3rd
WdB met the challenge of the well-scoring, in-form GoFys, and showed the whole league that they are ready to take on all-comers. BFFA Cup time is approaching…
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ After GW23:
No whitewashes in this round of fixtures.

🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
Shams Army -v- East Loop United, 6th v 9th
GW15: Army 63 – 28.5 ELU
The Army need to stop the rot and get back in the hunt for bronze. They could end their bad start to 2026 this weekend with another huge winning margin, unless ELU want it more.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ Before GW24:
Jaysokker 2-0 vs. Stafford Stallions; First season in same league,
Toastenham Hank Dog 2-0 vs. Sporting Thrillhaus; both won this one twice last season in L2.
Whiskey De Bruyne 2-0 vs. AFC Chester; First season in same league, but also met in the Season 10 BFFA Cup First Round, WdB also winning that one.
Form:

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Wrockwardine Wood Wolves complete the Grand Slam! And are rewarded with the top spot.
• Beedle’s Boys fall, Bigo climb.
• AI-JP also climb one place, taking seventh from Goleta who were just two points from beating the new league leaders.
⚽ Featured Game – Result: Beedle’s Boys 34.5 – 49.5 Bigo1, 1st v 5th
It was a spectacle for the neutral fan, but heartbreak for the Boys as they lost the #1 spot that they had held since GW9. Bigo1 are back upto fourth for the first time since GW2, and are level on points with FPL Daddy in the promotion places.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ After GW23:
FPL Daddy 3-0 vs. Scott FC; First season in same league.

🫣 Next week’s One to Watch:
AI-Jiggery-Pokery -v- Goleta Hotspur, 7th v 8th
GW15: AIJP 55 – 56½ Goleta
Goleta will be trying to reclaim the place they just lost, from the team that just took it, and if Zizou lose to Beedle’s Boys, that could earn them a bump up to sixth.
🙅 Whitewash Watch 🔎 ⛔ Before GW24:
Beedle’s Boys 2-0 vs. Team Zizou; First season in same league.
Wrockwardine Wood Wolves 2-0 vs. Borussia Teeth; First season in same league
