Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
Gnonto Seed needed a win this weekend if they were to avoid automatic relegation, and they managed it by the skin of their teeth. With Brennan Johnson not playing, Diogo Jota came off the bench with a single point for is 11 minutes on the field, and saved their season. But Gnonto also needed Route 57 to lose in order to escape and, thanks largely to Aaron Ramsdale’s unexpected 10 points from the game against City, that’s exactly what transpired.
HLAB beat the new Premier League Champions by ten matchpoints. Since wallowing in last place in GW24 (and probably contemplating relegation) they have won 37 points from a possible 39 and are now level on league points with 3rd place. Unfortunately, they just ran out of time for the prize places, but will be going strong into the Champions League Preliminary Round next weekend.
Vanishing Spray pick up their first TotW for this season with a mighty 44FPts from their back five (inc. 5 G/D clean sheets, 3 saves, 2 assists, 7 bonus points), and a healthy serving of Schade in midfield to boot.

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
We finally know who are the Championship Champions of 2025. Congrats to the top-scoring team in the League (and still Best-ish challengers), deserved winners: DE BRUYNE TROUSERS! 🥳👏👏👏
This time last season Atletico Topo Chico were facing the prospect of relegation, but today they are celebrating promotion to the Premier League! It’s their third promotion in five years and they were also close to going up as champions – Preliminary Version very nearly took DBT to a draw after Eze & Bowen found the net thrice on Sunday, but Trossard’s seven points from his trip to Anfield shut the door on ATC’s faint title hopes.
IBL, who have been holding first place for the past five weeks, fell victim to the curse of the Championship Carousel – a sixth straight week that effected big changes in the top four. IBL were no match for BtB, who refused to be swept by the promotion hopefuls. The playoffs await and offer a second chance at movin’ on up.

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
No change in the League One standings mean that AFC Chester get two shots at getting a ticket to the 2025/26 Champions League. They have a two-legged qualifying fixture against in-form HLAB, but are also high up in the reserve list for one of the last two vacancies.
The CLQ route was denied to Slots Fired by a BPS recalculation over the weekend. Beto was initially set to receive maximum bonus points in the Fulham-Everton game, but he was made to give it up to Raúl Jiménez. That +1 for SkyPlayer, plus bonus points for Emi Martínez and Danny Welbeck mean that if Slots Fired want to qualify for the Champions League, they need to rise up the reserve list and hope those above him fall back or lose interest.
Peltier are still #1 in the Best-ish Rankings, but it was The Phenoms flexing their muscle on the eve of the playoffs. A superb 68 this week, just one point shy of the week’s topscore, will have Uncle Monty shaking in their boots this week.

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
An unbelievable FIVE teams finish the season level on league points – all settled on 51 in the race for fourth. That race was won in a photo finish by Jaysokker, scoring just enough to steal the CLQ spot from under SKM’s noses. In order to deliver this dramatic turn of events Jaysokker had to win, outscore KhilMaan by 21, Khilmaan had to lose and so did the Yanks. The stars aligned, all the results went their way, and Bowen’s left-footer at the back post gave them just enough to enter the Champions League.
AI-Jiggery-Pokery and Partey Time FC both nearly reached the 60-point mark this week. In fact, the latter passed the milestone in the final game, but were pulled back by Merino’s red card.
Shams Army close out the season in style with a ten-point win over Boudi’s Crew. They go into the Champion of Champions tourney having lost only once in the last nine.

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
The eleven-week reign of RWB is over. Tino’s Legacy now reign supreme, but for how long?!
Spray and HJC both win, Spray still a win shy of fith but with better matchpoint total.
Gloopy Yarbles now the second-highest scoring team in the Dynasty. It may not be of use this season, but watch out for them in Season 2!

The table speaks for itself. Tino’s Legacy three points ahead of three better-scoring challengers. Place your bets now!

Postseason

We’re finally there! The late season activities can begin.
Below are the fixtures and groups for this season’s mini-tourneys.

To see the squads of your opponents (or any of the other BFFA teams) you can find their Draft ID in our >>>Teams>>> page and insert their ID number into this address, replacing the ***** :

There are two more ways into next season’s Champions League – via the Qualifiers (above) and via the Reserve List (right).

Four places available. In the Qualifiers, the teams that finished fourth in their leagues are given two-legged matches against another fourth-place finisher. Whoever gets the best aggregate score in their matchup goes into the CL Draw in August.

The other two openings are granted to the highest-scoring teams (that haven’t already got a place). As you can see from the table, Preliminary Version are best placed to qualify for the CL Group Stage if they don’t win their qualifier against Jaysokker. Smash & Grab, BattleVAR, All Star Gunners and Route 57 FC are also in with a good chance.

The totals will continue to go up over the next two weeks and places are likely to change.

The bottom two from each league are thrown into the pool and get one final chance to prove that they’re not the worst. Unfortunately, there will be one team that has to take that “accolade”.

And of course, you won’t need to look at the league tables on the app after GW36, but the Best-ish tournament will rage on until the end of GW38, so keep trading, signing and setting your teams right through to the end.

The Big One

It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.

Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
This season’s One Cup is also underway. Results below.

1) The Ratty Guard Crew
76 Fantasy Points

2) The Phenoms
75 FPts

3) Whatsa Maatsen You

4) Rover Cowley FC

5) Smoky Bacon Athletic
