Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Gloopy win again, prevent Wives Fave from stealing second.
• Mighty Fine prevented from opening space behind them by El Dude Bros who are trying to get into the Champions League places
• HLAB holding onto that all-important 4th place with an incredible 11th game unbeaten.
• Wicker Park win a huge game over Gnonto Seed, greatly improving their chances of escaping relegation.

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• It’s that same headline yet again – the top three ALL lose and the hottest promotion race in years intensifies.
• For the second week in a row, 4th place move up to 2nd. ATC see off a late onslaught from Schade & Wissa thanks to the heroics of Flekken between the Brentford sticks.
• Barons win a third game this season over the high-scoring DBT, now just two points from Champions League, four points (realistically) from playoffs, and still mathematically able to win the title! Two games to go, and those two games are against 8th & 10th…!
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Atletico Topo Chico -v- Preliminary Version ► 2nd -v- 4th
GW8: 42 – 23 // GW17: 57 – 42 // GW26: 50 – 57

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• There is still no stopping Peltier, much to the dismay of Alleviate the Tedium who find themselves one point shy of the top score of the week. But while the title is now out of reach, second place is looking even more likely thanks to Peltier’s win over third-placed Phenoms.
• Slots Fired win a one-pointer and end ELU’s six-game win streak. Six points from playoffs, keep a close eye on how The Phenoms & ELU do this weekend!
• Borussia Teeth miss out on a chance to close the gap on 7th. Now need to win both of their remaining games to avoid a play-off against high-scoring Tino’s Legacy / Boudi’s Crew.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
East Loop United FC -v- The Phenoms ► 7th -v- 3rd
GW8: 27 – 35 // GW17: 50 – 39 // GW26: 20 – 51

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• 🏆 Shams Army have been crowned League Two Champions! 🎉
With the top score of the week, Shams Army are worthy winners of the league title and will be competing in League One next season.
• It continues to heat up in the race for fourth place. Flubbing Yanks take the lead after a one-point win over CLQ rivals Jaysokker. Elsewhere, Sporting KhilMann run riot over AI-JP, will try anfd repeat the feat against Jaysokker next.
• Tino’s Legacy are on the verge of a late-season Grand Slam. Only one team left to beat: 4th-placed Flubbing Yanks. Last time they met, the Yanks won 39-38.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Tino’s Legacy -v- Flubbing Yanks ► 2nd -v- 4th
GW8: 38 – 31 // GW17: 60 – 30 // GW26: 38 – 39

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Despite BIG points right at the end of the gameweek for Mark Flekken, Gloopy Yarbles win again with 20+ers from Bowen and Mac Allister, now 5 from last 6, and continue to finish the season strong.
• Tino’s Legacy win a huge 6-pointer over TrevAI, move upto third and now three points from #1
• Peltier are also knocking on the door to the trophy room, close the gap on first with a 20-pt win over Wonder Struijk.
• Vanishing Spray rout HJC with a massive 168.50, over 30 points better than the next-best score (Gloopy). Unfortunately now unable to reach second as Peltier & Tino will meet again, but dreams of a third place finish are not over yet.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Tino’s Legacy -v- Rot-Weiss Barefoot ► 3rd -v- 1st
GW8: 87.5 – 70 // GW17: 151 – 129.5 // GW26: 111.75 – 68

😬 The Run-In 🕓🕒🕑🕐
Things are really heating up. Tino’s management asked for a tighter title race, and that is exactly what we are seeing! 1st v 3rd this weekend, many more top five six-pointers in the final few weeks! 🔥🔥🔥

The Belyea Memorial Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).
In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week (at least) one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
Some call it a Final, some call it Major, some say it may be the last-ever Belyea gameweek(!), who knows. But what we do know is that only one team is left and therefore the Belyea Memorial Cup goes to…
Partey Time
As the only team not to topscore from the pool, League Two’s Partey Time take home the Belyea (whether they like it or not) and will forever mark this day as one of infamy.
In Hollywood style, Whiskey De Bruyne escape in the final showdown, with a winning margin of 29.
The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
This season’s One Cup is now underway. Results below.
This week’s top teams:
1) Kinder Mbuemo
96 Fantasy Points
2) Prestige Worldwide
94 FPts
3) Gloopy Yarbles
90 FPts
4) Lingardium Weviosa

Postseason
The postseason is now on the horizon, and as we approach it, we will give you more and more details as the landscape takes shape.
The final two weeks of the season will offer every team something to play for. Your final league position (after GW36), and any appearances in the Finals of the CL/IML/Cup, will determine which of these mini-tournaments you can compete in.

What you can see above is that the four League Champions will go into a pool for the bonus Champions of Champions title. They will also face the Champions League winners (Gloopy Yarbles) and the BFFA Cup winners too.
The teams finishing second and third will play in a two-week Runners-Up pool. They will be joined by the CL runners-up, the BFFA Cup runners-up and the IML winners.
Going into next season’s Champions League will be:
⚽ The top three teams from each league,
⚽ The Champions League holders (Gloopy Yarbles)
⚽ The BFFA Cup winners (TBC)
⚽ Plus two more from the Champions League Qualifiers.
The CLQ‘s are set to feature the four fourth-placed teams. They will be paired off into 2x two-legged play-off matches, the winners of which will qualify for the 2025 CL.
The Champions League winners are also going to finish in the top three of the Premier League, therefore we will need a reserve to fill in the gap. The topscoring fourth-placed finisher will automatically be entered into the 2025CL First Round, and a place in the CLQ will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified. (See the reserve list in the graphic above).
Should the BFFA Cup winners also finish in the top four in their league, then another CLQ place will become available for one of our reservists.
Next season’s Intramural League actually begins in GW37 with the four teams in each league who finish 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. The postseason will have a knockout for each league to put one team through to the Quarter-Finals next season.
And there will be another wooden spoon tournament this season too. The bottom two teams from each league will be put into a pool in GW37; the two lowest-scoring sides will play in a GW38 final where the loser gets the spoon.
Finally, there will also be the excitement of the Playoffs. After GW36, the top two go up and the bottom two go down. The third-best and third-worst of neighbouring leagues will fight across two gameweeks for the right to take the final promotion/survival place. The previous playoff results can be found on the Competitions page.
Hopefully that explains the basics of the postseason. There may be some overlaps in the mini-tourneys, for example – if the CL winners (Gloopy Yarbles) finish in the top four (quite likely), then a reserve will be needed to fill the space in next season’s Champions League Draw. That reserve place will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified for the Champions League, so keep an eye on the best-ish table towards the end of Gameweek 36 for potential new entrants.
Of course, you won’t need to look at the league tables on the app after GW36, but the Best-ish tournament will rage on until the end of GW38, so keep trading, signing and setting your teams right through to the end.
I think that’s all for now.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the season!
