Champions League Places
Whilst there aren’t any clear-cut promotions confirmed at this point (unusually) there are a few teams that can now celebrate securing a top three place, a spot in next season’s Champions League, and a payout in the summer too.
In League One: De Bruyne Trousers, Uncle Monty
In League Two: Goleta Hotspur
And we already know that they will be joined by the current Champions League holders Sporting Wicker Park.
Relegation
Unfortunately we have got the names of five teams that will be relegated this season. They will playing to avoid the Wooden Spoon in GW37 and, obviously, we hope they’ll be back next season to make a bid at bouncing straight back up again.
Intramural League Qualifiers
The final two gameweeks will act as the pre-season qualification stage for the IML.
Next season, one team from each league will appear in the IML Quarter-Finals. There they will each face a team dropping out of the CL at the group stage (à la the UEFA CL).
To decide which team will be going there as a league representative, the teams finishing 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th get to play a mini-knockout tourney.
We know of four teams that will be competing for the lesser inter-league prize next season. They are:
